I was told by my midwife I could have either 1 cup of normal coffee a day and that was it or 3 cups of decaf a day, she said it was because the caffiene can have an effect of fetal brain development xx @kim-88

One cup is recommended. In both my pregnancies I didn't have any caffeine at all in the first 12 weeks then I had 1-2 cups a week after that. But more than one a day probably isn't really that harmful x

I have drank 2 cups of instant coffee everyday in pregnancy! Your aloud 200mg of caffeine daily while pregnant. I was a massive coffee drinker so couldn't just let go straight away @kim-88 xx

I've seen myself having a cup of cola and 2 cups of coffee some days and my baby seems fine. Going over once in a blue moon won't do anything but doing it regularly could have last effects on the brain and heart, especially in developing babies. Now, for me, may not matter so much but really early on it may @lauren1996 xx

I never drank coffee or tea throughout my pregnancy but I had a Miscaraige previously so I didn't want to risk anything this time round x

I have drank lucizade through out my pregnantcy and my baby girl is perfect and is growing fine I'm due in 2 weeks 4 days xx
