I kind of know what you mean honey! my mother in law was bitching at my fiance because she feels "alienated" from our child's life already, her reasons were, she doesn't get to know the baby's gender, or name, and "probably won't get to be in the room when the baby is born"

well.. we are having a gender reveal baby shower a few weeks after we find out the gender, we are telling the first name but not middle, and I have to have a repeat csection. she doesn't get that she isn't more special than everyone else, especially to take my fiances place in the operating room. I feel like all of it needs to be an experience for us and our new addition.

I only want me and my bf. No reason in particular I just want that moment to be between me and him. The next day whoever can visit but that's how I feel. I hope mine or his fam don't get offended
