I know someone that is trying to place their baby for adoption. I was adopted too!

I have a friend who has an open adoption with her daughter. She's now 5!

She loves it!!! She kept it hidden from friends that she had a child till her daughter was 3, but recently just had her 2nd daughter with her husband. She was a teen mom and very wild at that. She bounced from couch to couch didn't know who the father was, and barely scraped by in school, so she knew it was the best option for her. The little girl is now 5, lives with a doctor's family with 2 other adopted kids, they travel back and forth to see each other regularly! She came up to surprise my friend on her birthday, was the flower girl at her wedding, and has MILLIONS of posted pictures together.

Yep!! All the time. They live about 6 hours away from each other but call and see each other all the time and both families meet up all the time too so it's not just her who sees the baby.

it all really depends on the adoptive parents, some open adoptions can be your involoved in the child's life 100% but not call mom or there's where they will send you pictures and letters to update you on the child. I'd say if you are looking to put your baby up for adoption then just look around at adoption agencies and see which one fits you the best
