The only way I'm comfortable sleeping and not have my back hurt is laying on my back. But I know I've read it's bad for you after first trimester. Any advice? And yes I've tried a pillow between the legs, behind me, in front of me, literally everywhere

@1sttimemommie, I still sleep on my back and I'm 32 weeks. If your baby doesn't like it he/she will let you know! You'll either start feeling nauseous or light headed.

Damn I've been feeling that way all night, to my side I go then. I just can't seem to get comfortable to sleep these days! Thanks @candacelouise

I sleep on my back a lot and when I told me L&D nurse and midwive I gave the embarrassed and little hesitant look They both said "oh it's ok don't worry" I don't think it's too big of a deal as long as you feel you baby moving still.

@1sttimemommie, well if it's just when you lay down then yes I wouldn't lay that way but if it's just your normal thing to get nauseous at night then you should be fine.

I don't feel baby move that often yet so it's hard to go off that :/ @brittanycheri I have been feeling lightheaded tonight and normally don't so maybe that's why @candacelouise

Have you tried to prop your pillows up and sleep sitting up?! It helped me at first. Also if you don't have one her. Pregnancy pillow or a long body pillow (much more affordable) they help a lot too.

I have a long body pillow and my mom is getting me a pregnancy pillow for my birthday in a month. Where exactly do I put the body pillow though. Like in front of me? @brittanycheri

Yes, also try to put your belly on it, it might feel uncomfortable at first it awkward more.. But it helps take pressure off your sides and hip, also put it between your legs that will help your hips as well.

I was a back sleeper before pregnancy, sleeping on my sides was the hardest thing for me to get used to. I still don't like it, like you I feel like being on my back is the only comfortable position. But my doctor told me it's plain unsafe. She did say that for the most part you will wake yourself up before significant damage can be done but since it crushes the vena cava which is a very important vein both for you and baby. I still have yet to find a comfortable way to sleep 😓 I always wake up with my arm numb and my fingers tingling. Annoying lol
