VEGETABLES, YUCK!
I hated vegetables before I was pregnant and now they are down right repulsive! I take my pre natal every day, I've been drinking ensures and trying to eat as healthy as I can..but everything I think is healthy ISNT according to other people. Any other mommies to be struggling with what I'm struggling with? I just want my baby to be healthy:(

I love vegetables, but I didn't during my first trimester (morning sickness). I just figured I'd do my best, even if not ideal.

Stick to Fruits !
Kayla·
@leesambee, when did you find out you had GD? I see this in my future and I'm so scared the baby won't develope properly because I just CANT do vegetables but if worse comes to worse I'll just have to force feed myself veggies and stay hungry all the time :( they are SO unsatisfying
Kayla·
@snicole12, yas! I'm trying but they say fruits have natural sugars and too much isn't healthy :(
Bree·
@kaylalouise24, as a plant based mom fruits are really good for you and it's healthy sugars not refined bad ones but my suggestion is smoothies nothing ripe bananas and pineapple can't hide I do spinach
Bree·
@kaylalouise24, but that's just me..lol I'd try healthy oats like flax seed, oatmeal, Chia seeds they have healthy fats and omegas
Bree·
sorry I keep spamming but is it all vegetables including corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers? or just the extra yuck ones? like cabage, cauliflower, kale stuff like that?
Kayla·
@breetheoctopus, I actually fully appreciate the "spam" so no worries at alllll! It's not ALL veggies. I can eat carrots and broccoli but only if they are cooked until super soft and drenched in butter (which isn't really healthy) I do love corn but canned corn isn't the same nutritionally and as I full time working mom to be I do not have time to cook the way I should. So sadly, what I eat is mostly take out/ restaurant food and snacks I bring from home (like bananas, nuts, yogurt- whatever is healthy I can get my hands on that I don't have to cook) flax seed is a great suggestion though I will deff see about cereals that have them in it next time I'm at the store.
Kayla·
@breetheoctopus, main no no's on my hated vegetable list are tomatoes, carrots (uncooked), broccoli/cauliflower (uncooked) spinach, kale, avocado. Basically everything recommend/: BUT on plus side is I get a few Jamba juices in a week so that deff helps. Also today I got something that is a powder drink that is supposed to give me everything I would get out of a daily dose of veggies. (I still need to approve with my doctor to make sure it's okay to take with my pre natals because as we both know too much of a good thing can be bad)
Bree·
@kaylalouise24, we'll they sell "vegan" butter which cost a little more but it's has half the fat and literally taste the same for your veggies and I learned that you can boil corn on the cob in a crock pot so that might help with saving time?
Kayla·
I also LOATHE everything in the name of salad @breetheoctopus
Bree·
also, you can buy ground flax and literally put it on a whole bunch of stuff since it taste like nothing. lol I even put it on my actual food sometimes not just smoothies and cereals lol
Kayla·
@breetheoctopus, I might take you up on the boiling corn idea but as far as the butter it would be a waste of money just because I already know I don't even have enough hours in the day to work, get everything I need done and sleep the proper amount of hours. I simply have zero time/energy to cook. I know it sounds horrible but I'm being brutally honest
