I ran into a mom who was out with her week old baby that just got out of the nicu. the flu was going around. she said she was lonely and bored. Argh! that is the time to rest and binge watch Netflix.
I agree..if you have to take them with you, you have to. waiting months to take them anywhere is ridiculous, they need fresh air and need to be exposed to some germs to build any resistance up. to each their own, but both my kids were out and about with me after a week or so. some people don't have any other option
ya if you're not taking precautions or being clean yourself. or letting weirdos touch your kids.. thats a different story. I'm far from dumb, good thing its just your opinion. as mine is mine.
@momwife1316, oh I'm not saying that you can't ever go out obviously if you have no choice you have no choice. But like, they aren't careful people so it makes me cringe. It's just a personal choice, I'd want more time for my baby to build up an immune system before I took them out to other people house and stuff.
That rule is more for mom than baby. You actually have to take baby out three days later to pediatrician. I personally will stay in due to exposure but to each his own.
how do you all think single mothers lived their life with a newborn? shut in for weeks? im married but Im basically taking on a single mother role. you cant just avoid germs all the time. babies do need the exposure. my now 2 yr old is amazingly healthy, never sick. and I took her outside right away. I just made sure hands were clean. some of us have to go grocery shopping or still run errands even with a newborn. for me I'll have to do all that, toddler & newborn included. js. people need to have more open minds..
