Okay I'm about to go on my rant !!!!
This day and age I don't see no little girls with hair bows, beads, you know little girl hair styles. All I see is weave, sew ins , perms, un greased scalps. When my lil girl comes it ain't gonna be no weave, no corn rows, you gonna have a little girl hair styles. Hell a nice puff with a head band something. It ain't gonna be no video games, you gonna ride this bike, get this jump rope go outside (under my supervision) cause I'm gonna be right there and play. Ain't no letting no kids walk to no bus stop by themselves. (Unless they have an older sibling) I'm talking about toddlers and pre schools, elementary age children. I be coming from work and when these babies get off the bus I don't see no parent in sight. I swear , got me fucked up.

I was thinking the same thing! I'm gonna raise my daughter the way my parents raised me. She not gone get a perm for a loooooonnng time! I hate seeing some of the kids now a days. They too grown!

omg seriously! just last week there wss a search for a 8 yr old boy in my complex. The mom leaves the boy outside like nothing and he goes around asking to take out peoples trash for money. AN 8 YR OLD! smh

he ran off to a friends house and stood there for 2 days, and the other parents didnt have the nerve to take that boy back home or call his parents.

These little kids be knocking at my door wanting to take trash out for money. 1st off why aren't these kids not afraid to go knock at a stranger door. Why are they not being teached to stay away from strangers @chibibunnyx

it's so ridiculous, like where are these childrens parents. last year mom caught one starting a fire in the back yard, like WTF! at that age I was horrified of going near a freaking candle and these kids out here act like they have no fear and can do anything. @jboyd

I agree! I said in one of my posts maybe a month or so ago that a lot of traditions that society considers old isn't that bad! Yes we want our kids to look presentable, but name brand from head to toe, jewelry costing more than a utility bill. Enough electronics to open a store is unnecessary. Our kids will have fun but making sure they're safe, and they don't grow up too fast is our responsibility!

I agree. It's so sad when you see weaves and perms on a child, then they wonder why children don't act their age.

I do my kids hair but I've only put weave in it once and it was singles. the rest of the time its always in ponytails lol. but my daughter isn't like other kids as well. my daughter is autistic and is different from other kids.
