I have several friends that want to be God parents but I don't want God parents for my baby. Is that weird? I am a Christian women, a member of a church, faithful attendee and tither. My baby will have a dedication ceremony, but I just think ppl play with the role of god mother as a title instead of an action....

I feel the same way, I'm still debating where I want godparents or not. The one girl who already claims my baby as her godson doesn't even bother to check up on me or him. I just really feel like it's all about the title for her instead of the actual meaning behind it.

I feel the same. I never gave any of my kids God-Parents, yet my sister still claims she's my first sons god parent.. Idk how to tell her nicely that she isn't and they don't have any. But i feel ya, I feel like people don't take thsy role seriously. 😑
