My mom gave my sister a great shower, and she has never given me one (on my third child). Family can be so unreal. Talk about hurting someone's feelings! I hope they surprise you with a great shower!

My BIL's wife wanted to throw me a shower and was going to do it all, well that was the plan and my MIL told her not to do it because instead of making a shower, just buy us gifts.... I didn't know about this till my FIL told me, and honestly its not all about the gifts but being able to celebrate the baby and I wanted one so bad. but because my MIL doesn't like me, she thinks I shouldn't have anything. I say just mention it to your parents or siblings and let it go from there or be like a co planner

My family did this to me...I ended up having to throw myself a shower. I felt bad about it too. But once I started planning my own shower and stuff they said "you ruined the surprise". Yeah, right.

This is why I decided to throw my own WITH help! I know my SIL said she wanted to plan mine since I planned hers but really with her busy schedule it probably wouldn't have happened. I'm sure my mil would've done it herself but it seems so much easier to do it yourself instead of relying on others.

@kelseys, @samanthamp @lacybearden I found a place where I can have it for free. I'm just going to get the cost for decor and pick a small menu of foods that my MIL, moms, and friends can contribute and go from there. This year I have coordinated my own wedding, engagement party, gender reveal, and I guess they think I can just handle this as well. I'm tired of planning. But oh well.

if you did all that, then you shouldn't do anything for anyone anymore
