if you arent with the father of your child are you required to put him on child support?
I had my son on state insurance and child care but they never required me to have support set up. Idk how it works for food stamps and what not. My ex and I came up with our own agreement that he sees him every other weekend and based on his pay at the time he pays 350 a month. I just told him that the one time he refuses to pay is when I go through the courts. I was lucky to have a good relationship with him every after we split tho so my situation is definitely not the norm.
Ya in order for me to get financial I have to do child support when in all reality I think it's stupid
I was going to get child support for my first but the questions in the packet they give you are ridiculous. "When was the last time you had sexual intercourse, and what city" like really that was 6 damn years ago lol my ex isn't in my sons life. He only wants to act involved on holidays. I didn't file for child support because honestly, I didn't want him to feel like since he's paying to support him, he needs to see him. My ex is a POS and I am happy with him being gone. If my son gets older and decides to have a relationship with him that's great and it would be his choice. As for now his stepdad is his daddy. If you get foodstamps they won't go after him. Only cash assistance or child support.
I think if you apply for government assistance they require his info to go after him for child support other than that its up to u
I know if you get TANF (state cash benefits) your required to. Otherwise it's your choice
