RANT: I moved to South Carolina 4 weeks ago I finally found a obgyn & he told me if I started having problems or if I go into labor to go to "baptist" so I went there tonight and those mfs are rude! First: it was hard to find & when we finally found it we had to pay to park. Second: I went to L&D usually where they see pregnant patients and I told them I'm 39 weeks pregnant my legs swollen & I was experiencing little chest pain these mfs sent me back down stairs to the ER I explained to the lady at the ER what was wrong and she sent me back to L&D. WELL we went back to L&D and as I was filling out my paper some lady was being really rude and she had an attitude with me talking about I guess we can take you I looked at my hubby and said lets go home ! We ended up staying but they wouldn't let him come in the room until after they checked me in which was weird that's the first hospital that has done that 😒 I just ended up telling them that I was ok it was a misunderstanding and asked them for my discharge papers my hubby said if my legs and feet get worse then we will go somewhere else tomorrow I'm just scared because I'm experiencing all these pains & nobody will do nothing for me unless my baby head is sticking half way out my fucking vagina hole 😒😒😒😒😒😒

I'm sorry you experienced that! you're your own advocate for you and your baby! call different hospitals so you're prepared when you go into labor. ask to take tours. you don't necessarily have to have that doctor deliver you...

you should have called ur doctor after hours number and asked to speak to someone in charge. how ur feeling is not normal. i wish u would have stayed. Swelling like that can be a ton of things. HELLP Syndrome. or preeclamsia. fuck their attitudes. they are there to do a job @pregomommy4437

you're welcome! when I was pregnant with my first baby, I switched doctors late in the pregnancy because I hated my doctor. so, I was in the same position you're in now. a lot of women think they have to do what they're told but everything is up to you! if you go into a hospital through the emergency room and you're in labor, they'll keep you! plus, you can interview other obgyn's (future knowledge since you're so late in pregnancy)... and I'd definitely make a complaint about the way you were treated! that's why I can't stand religious hospital settings.

@dylansmommy123, I did call him he told me to come in but he wasn't there when I got there I don't think he even left home ! He told them to go ahead and send me home ! I realized they don't care about nothing unless I say I'm in labor 😞

I would definitely Google hospitals around the area and look at there reviews if I were you... and file a complaint, that's there job to make sure you and the baby are ok if not then that's not the job for them.... I hope you feel better hun...

Cayce is close to Columbia right? My aunt gave birth at Lexington I think for all of her births and from the outside looking in everyone was very friendly. They brought me covers and such so I could stay with her while she was there.
