There is NO proof it causes your baby to pass its first BM, most women who do try it are overdue and having a baby pass it's BM when your overdue isn't uncommon. It's not "dangerous" but it does have some terrible side effects for some women. With my first it sent me into labor (I was 42 weeks and ready to go)
Put me in labor in 5 mins with my first, she had her BM after she came out, and it didn't give me diarrhea. Actually had a very easy labor. Different results for different women

Friend told me she had a friend that did that and had diareah so bad she didn't notice her water had broke and put the baby and her in trouble
