Is it safe to go through the metal detectors at amusement parks? I took my kids to one and they required me to go through it. I explained to the guy I'm pregnant and he assured me it's safe. Does anyone know if it really is?

@tbro, I totally understand, I was nervous about everything with my first... I always looked up certain. things to see if it was safe to eat, I wouldn't even eat a cookie dough blizzard at dairy queen.... I would only eat subway or potbelly because the sandwiches can be or are toasted.... ask my Dr about every little thing.... with my second, I was a bit more relaxed lol I only Googled certain fish (i wanted fish a lot lol) but I had talked to my Dr so much during my first that I ate Jimmy Johns sandwiches lol
they only check for metal.... not seeing into your body.
I don't think metal detectors use x-rays.... they just detect metals such as guns and knives..... they have them at court houses and pregnant women go to court all the time
exactly lol so if I still wasn't sure it would call my Dr or not eat it until after my next appointment lol
