So today I got grilled by my husbands grandmother about breastfeeding... I was unable to breastfeed our son, I didn't produce any milk and more than likely I wont this time either. It took everything I had not to cry she sat there for about 15 minutes telling me how I needed to breastfeed because it's so much healthier and better for the baby! Even though I used formula with our son and he is a perfectly healthy 2 year old that's very smart, he knows all of his ABC's, can count to 16 in English, count to 15 in Spanish (we have a very multicultural family), count backwards from 5 to 1, and knows all of his colors and shapes. So honestly I have nothing negative to say about formula whatsoever! But this is something I have felt so badly about since I wanted to breastfeed and couldn't it is something I've struggled with and obviously now that we're about to have another it's something I've been thinking about a lot! I may just be hormonal but it really upset me!

My husband is Mexican and hear it from his family and him all the time...like I'm doing something wrong for not bf I cried to

don't let her words get to you.everybody is diff! you might bee able to breastfeed this time but the choice is always urs! don't let ppl stupidity get to you 😇 your a great mother no matter wat!👶😇

@mommy2two10, don't stress hun. with my first I couldn't really produce anything then when my daughter came I pumped 300 ounces the first week!! she now drinks formula because she is allergic to dairy but dont give up. I know you can do it:)

it's not easy to breast feed!!! all you can do is look up foods that will help you produce milk. an just because you aren't able to do it doesn't matter because you are a good mom. I'm hoping that I can breast feed with my baby. because I had a great experience with my daughter 5 years ago.

if you can't physically do it, its not your fault. my mother couldn't produce either.
