This may end up being kinda long, but I really need some advice!! So me and my SO are currently living at my moms house where me, him and baby will all share one room. I already didn't want to be here to begin with because she is a very extreme alcoholic and very childish about things..(ex: calls me a bitch and treats me like shit for days because I didn't name my SON after her, don't want her in the delivery room because I'm more of a private person, want to make my own baby food and says that's stupid and a waste of time, calls me names every other day because I ask her not to post my baby stuff on Facebook, I haven't even posted anything on it) anyways, my dad is currently living in Oregon and I'm in California. He's offered several times for me and my SO to move up there and he will help us get a 2 bedroom apartment & a new car (ours is a two door we need 4) Oregon is so much cheaper. There's no apartment for us in our near future here in Cali. In Oregon a two bedroom rent is around 450-500 a month. My son would have his own room, I could get me and him on the Oregon health plan which is free insurance. In general Oregon is ran better than California. I already know this is what's best for my family. But last time I went to Oregon for two months when I wasn't pregnant my mom guilt tripped me so hard (which she has done to me my entire life) she has already said she is the most important person in this pregnancy, that it's her baby, etc. I feel like she is trying to live through me or something because she is so unhappy with her life style choices but she refuses to change. I already know as soon as I tell her were leaving she is going to make me feel like shit until the day I go. I just don't know how to go about telling her? And how to stop letting her make me feel guilty for doing what's best for my little family.

It sounds like the best! Your mother sounds like a horrible person. You need to get you and your family out of their ASAP. Unfortunately while your in her home, she is going to make you life miserable. Good luck.

Just tell her there is better opportunities for you and your family out there. There is nothing she can do or say that should stop you or make you feel like you're doing wrong by leaving. You now have your own family and you gotta learn that she'll be that way no matter what happens, when someone is like that it's hard to change. I have somewhat of a similar situation with my dad, so I know how hard it is. But stick to your guns, and just remember it'll better your lives and put you and your other a step ahead. Living in just a small room with you 3 will be stressful, I do it with me, my husband and our two babies and it sucks.

I would make all the plans to do it, and not tell her until you are packing up whatever you're taking. She has made her life choices, this is your life and you need to do what is best. Good luck!

my so &bi; are in a similar situation. I live with my parents in California & he lives with his in oregon. we want to move to idaho near my mom who is helping us look for apartments & jobs & etc. it's cheaper & we can make a living there. we can't do that in California. my dad & stepmom & sister are all making me feel extremely guilty for wanting to start my own life with my family. my son is a month old now & they're still hard on me about it. I'm going through a 10 moth school program before I go up there but I am moving despite what my dad & them say because it's my life & I want to raise my son in an affordable place. so what I'm trying to say is, do what you believe is best & if that means moving to another state then so be it. you'll be happy!

You have to change your mindset. You know it's best for your family so that's what you need to do. Its not about your mom at all. You can't let her make you feel bad. You just have to stand your ground and tell her she's being inconsiderate and acting like a child when she's mean. Tell her you'll be gone soon so she might want to treat you better while she can.

@2_fahrenwald_boys, @katnichole17 @tatiananoelani @sam.g @j.d-rose @damandakillion thank you ladies. That night I tried to talk to her about it as an idea and she blew up calling me names and being crazy. Even tried to hit me twice. So things happened very fast. Packed everything we own in our car and the next morning drove to Oregon! So here we are now. And it's definitely where we are supposed to be because two days here and my SO has a job 36-42 hours a week and we've applied at an apartment and going to view another tomorrow! Thanks for the advice💕😘 she can't guilt trip me for doing what's right for my family!!
