My 3 day old would rather snuggle me at night then settle in his Moses basket. Try put him in it and he's screaming again x

That's exactly same as my baby!! He really won't stay in it he starts stirring and he's fine just won't sleep in there. I'm going to try mild swaddling I think and maybe a dummy as last resort as I think he does struggle with soothing himself xx

When my daughter was that young I swaddled her with a cellular blanket and slept amazingly. She's too big for the blankets I was using now so doesn't swaddle as well. She is the same and won't settle in the moses basket so now I roll a baby towel into a long sausage and lay it on the mattress then tuck the sheet over it tight so it makes a little nest and she sleeps really well in the little nest. The nurses on the children's ward suggested that to me

Yeah, My girl would not sleep in the Moses basket :) she was on my chest for weeks! Then like @tuftyturtle said :) I made a little nest for her on my bed and she sleeps well in that :) Didn't plan to co-sleep :) but we do xD Also I found wrapping her loosely in a blanket when she had fallen asleep on me..and then putting her down..tricked her into thinking she was still in my arms :) I also play white noise and that seems to settle her :) Also breast feeding her laying down with her on my side works well :) I can relax and go to sleep when she is feeding :) xx

yes my little boy was like that I had no choice to switch to formula due to really bad reflux and regurgitation which he is a lot more settled on now and feeds every 4 hours but at night he usually wake's up once sometimes not at all like last night lasted 7 hours😊 and didnt want to sleep in his own bed wanted me to hold him or to get into our bed but I had to be strong because personally I don't like the idea of Co sleeping but he has learnt that now and is absolutely fine in his moses basket and tonight he is trying his cot out for the time 🙈 if you don't like the idea of him in your bed like me just be strong he'll learn (also a dummy comes in handy when he's crying it soothes him really well) xxx

Not unusual then? Dunno how to fix it. We at hospital atm he has jaundice so not sure if that's why as he sleepy when he feeding xxx

My daughter slept better when she had jaundice. She had to have phototherapy and had it for over two weeks ! but it's completely normal. He's been inside of you for 9 months it must be weird and scary to be separated from you.
