this is the dumbest thing I've seen all day!!! I want to start by saying YES my children are vaccinated. it's stupid to think that just because she didn't vaccinate her children is why or how they got whooping cough! IF a child has never had a vaccine they don't carry the virus in their body. therefore they cannot pass the virus to anyone. a child who has been vaccinated that carries the virus from the vaccination can pass it to anyone (whether they've been vaccinated or not) I wouldn't be worried about an unvaxxed child giving my children anything no injected into them I would however be terrified that my children would pass a disease injected into them to an unvaxxed child!

I think its more that she feels guilty for not vaccinating her kids, and them all getting sick at the same time scared her for future sicknesses.

but the bottom part of the picture is what I'm responding to. it's not because she didn't get them vaxxed that they got whooping cough. just like getting your child vaxxed doesn't protect them from getting sick either.

@michellevaldez4750, some people think getting vaxxed prevents everything but it's not true. it just makes it less intense if you happen to get it. of course their is the exception of the babies who contract it after being vaxxed and it becomes fatal

right, if you have a live vaccine the chance of it getting serious is going to be there. and with any vaccine the whole point is to put it in your body so you have the antibodies already in your system. I do vaccinate my kids partly because I don't want to deal with the schools making a big deal and most of the vaccines I feel are relatively safe so I just don't see the point of saying no to them.
