I know it seems early at 30 weeks to be taking maternity leave but I'm just miserable and have trouble standing all day…

@jacesterlingsmommy, everyone is different! Don't feel bad! Everyone body reacts differently. My feet started getting swollen here recently. I don't even work I just am a full time student!

I definitely feel for the ladies that want their babies here early. I kind of BS my way thinking that it can't be that bad and to let things happen on their own but geez this is really starting to suck. Thankfully I'm not having swelling yet. @candacelouise @dede0618

He tried to say it in the most sensitive way and he knew it's not really what he meant. He just didn't know how to say it any other way. Thankfully he supports me in the decision I make to stay longer or leave because he says he knows he doesn't know exactly how I'm feeling. He just thinks it's a little too early to be feeling this way. I've slowed way down in the past month and everyday just feels worse and worse. @daniellethomson Some days I'd love to leave the baby with him. haha

Your due date may not even be completely accurate. Some people get there faster than others. Depends on how much of a fat kid ya baby is and grows hahaha.

I thought I was 30, but Im 35 coming march 31st and I feel the way you do.

I'm going to try and stick it out a little longer. Hopefully maybe until end of April. My original plan was to stay until 2 weeks before my due date but I know I won't make it that long. I'm not sleeping at all lately and it's really taking a toll on my body. I wish my state had short term disability. @dylansmommy123

I had an ultrasound yesterday and he was measuring the correct number of weeks but was slightly under weight. Technician says he will probably just be a smaller baby at 6-7 pounds at birth. I'm a FTM also so it's all new. Honestly pregnancy isn't for me at all. @daniellethomson

Im a ftm too. Mines about 6 pounds I think.

@dylansmommy123, I'm 39 weeks today and my last day is Monday so I'll be almost 40 weeks but each person is different with how much their body can handle. I only get 12 weeks before my position would be open to others so I pushed myself to stay as long as I could so I could be home with the baby more.

@sparnell, I completely understand about wanting them to hold your job. My job is only allowing me 4 weeks off after he's born but I'm like 90% sure I'll be staying home with him after he's born, luckily.

well it will be short term disability thru my job that i pay into. and by doctor worded the letter as bedrest until delivery. then i still get a actual 10 week maternity leave. im 36 extremely high risk and my first baby came at 28 weeks. so it can be done@sparnell

im a paralegal at a large law firm that handles tons of employment cases. it all in the verbiage on paper

Good luck and hope all goes well for baby to stay in long enough. I wish I had a good enough job that offered me anything. I live in a very small rural town and there's about zero opportunity unfortunately. I even have a college degree in culinary arts (which pertains to my current job) and I don't even make $10/hr. It's rough but I'll get through it. @dylansmommy123
