Rant: My sisters have always had over the top baby showers for each kid rented out rooms or had them at a house we've had lots of family and friends attend them. So I'm expecting to have one the same especially since I'm the baby of the family and this is my first baby. My mom doesn't want to do anything big for me tho. she wants to invite like 15 people and have it at a damn pizza place. what the hell? I've been planning for something big already and she throws me that curve ball. I want to cry. I know this probably sounds dumb to be mad over but it really hurt me. In that case I don't want to have a baby shower & just buy everything I need my damn self. smh

Yea I'd be upset also, that's unfair to you and your baby 😔 maybe bring this to her attention or ask your sisters to speak with her on it

You know I would be pissed off too! But honestly the first thing I thought of was what if she is telling you that but in reality she's gonna make it a surprise. You're the baby of the family and so am I. They do the biggest stuff for the baby, I feel like she's doing it so when you see it you're even more surprised. I don't know I would definitely talk to her about it though.

My sister told me that my mom had said she wanted to do it at the pizza place. My sister was upset and told her why. She said because its to much to deal with and she doesn't want to stress over anything. I know damn well I'm not having a surprise baby shower. Would be a miracle. I've been trying to plan my own already for a month and every time I share my ideas with her on what places I can rent out and food Ideas she gets upset and eventually ignores everything I'm saying. I don't know if I should just go ahead and do everything myself and not ask for her help at all.

Just asks you mom yourself...you know how sisters are, you mom may have just have been saying that in a joking manner! Don't jump to conclusions, relax momma💞

I'm sorry to hear that that is messed up but don't let that being u down baby will feel your sadness cheer up and see if u can do it alone its better sometimes that way u won't here well I did this for u :) congrats on your baby boy BTW

I hope it was jokingly. I probably am over reacting but as soon as I heard those words I was like lord no. I will not have it at a pizza place lol I'll deff try talking to her again. & try not to stress over it for now lol Thanks girls for the advice! & thank you @mrsdeslonde Congratulations on your little boy as well.

What if she doesn't want to hear it because it's already planned. I don't know it would suck if you make your own and then turns out she already did it!!
