personally would never do it... my daughter is 1 and wants to be all over the place. i think thats where we as parents have to show them and instruct them good behavior, manners and all. its just how i feel, but respect those who do it.

I don't like them. Maybe in cases of autism (I have a cousin who is autistic and he had a child leash because he would run off wherever we went) or other developmental issues as a safety net, but otherwise no child should be leashed. They need to learn how to hold your hand and good behavior. I don't get mad at those who do use them though

I had a monkey "harness buddy" for my son. He was a runner. I only used it at the airport and at Disney world when he was 2 or 3. Only in the situations where I was truly afraid I might lose him in a crowd otherwise I find them kinda weird. Like those strollers for dogs.

i dont judge others that do it but it makes me uncomfortable i wouldnt use it on my child...

I don't really have a problem with them. I think they are good for trips to the mall or zoo when you have a little that likes to walk in their own or dont like holding hands.

Most people don't use them to keep their child from wandering off, but more to make sure they aren't kidnapped. You can have the best behaved child around, but they can't stop a grown adult from picking them up and running away with them while you turn your head for a split second. I know a lot of people don't think about it like that. Some food for thought 🙃

I d k. I suppose some children need it. Its better then losing them in the mall. Unfortunstely people are very judgemental. The only reason I wouldnt use it is if your child tries to act like an animal, and then people are like Ugh that mothers treating her child like a dog?! Some people are rediculous. I would rather feel someone grab my child and feel the leash pull so I know to turn around and yell kidnapper than to turn around and he isnt there.

I say do what makes you feel safer. So you arent too anxious. It wont hurt the child.

I say whatever a mom chooses to use or not to use for her child is her business and really shouldn't matter to anyone else unless they are the ones who bought it or are being forced to use it. I've thought about it for my daughter because she loves to walk but she's still so short and I'm about to be 30 weeks pregnant. try holding a 26 lb toddler for long periods or leaning sideways for for a long period of time to reach their hand. it hurts.... bad. and strollers aren't ideal for every situation like festivals with small rows of things. so I think if that suits the situation and the mom then who cares? I'd rather my kid be attached to something than someone be able to just up and snatch her up and take off.

I think in certain situations they are perfectly fine. As long as you are paying proper attention to your child, and not using the leash as an excuse not to, they can be beneficial.

I might start using one mainly because my son loves walking but he isn't to the stage where he will hold my hand. I don't want him to run off or get lost. I already have anxiety in big crowds, have a mobile baby makes it worse.

I say it's alright if the child acts out in public and runs from you and up and down isles at stores causing mayhem I support a mother leasing their child but if you use it as a way to make sure you child isn't going anywhere and no to pay attention to the child then that's wrong.

I tried it but my kids didn't like it. So I said hold my hand or sit in the stroller. They learned quick

I say absolutely not but that's my own personal opinion. No judgment to any ladies on here that use them or will use them in the future. Every mama and child is different :)

I had to use it with my step son at one he would run away and leave with people it was terrifying
