My daughter will be 8 years old next month.. I had her when I was 17 and been connected with her since I found out I was pregnant... I'm now 28 weeks with my son and don't feel as connected to him.. maybe it's because I haven't been pregnant in so long...plus my daughter had leukemia (in remission now) she she's ALWAYS been my baby plus her father wasn't around so I never really had to share her. my son's father on the other hand, has stepped up and been a WONDERFUL father and boyfriend (been together almost two yrs) and his family is so excited for this baby because it's his mom's first grand child...but I just don't feel as connected to him like I did with my daughter and I feel like such an awful mother... maybe it will change once I actually give birth to him...

It'll change, my sister in law felt the same way, she didn't think she could love her daughter like she loved her son, but she did! I think it's just yall bonded for so long.

@expectingz, I hope so...It still hasn't even hit me yet that I'm havin another baby. I mean I feel him kick and move all the time but it's just hasn't sunk in...maybe I just need to see him.

I know how you feel @mommyof20816 . I'm 32 weeks pregnant with my second baby and my first son is 14 years old. it was just me and him for 13 years. now I have an amazing boyfriend and we are expecting a baby boy. we've been together a year and I get how you feel.
