okay I want to do everything I can to breastfeed but I'm wondering if it hurts and how do you do it…

is not complicated is simple and the best for baby's in the begging is liltle uncomfortable but you will get used to it I just had my baby boy 2 weeks ago and it's been great

It's a little weird/ uncomfortable at first but as long as baby has a good latch you should be fine. If you have the *right sized pump parts it shouldn't hurt to pump either.

Tell your OB's and the hospital staff when you get admitted that you are hell bent on breastfeeding and request a lactation consultant meet with you after your baby is born so she can help you make sure baby is latched on correctly. I'm looking into becoming a LC but I don't have enough info to give you medical advice, but I can say make sure your doctors are on the same page with you. Some may want to give you formula for the baby but just be adamant on breastfeeding.
