I'm doing mine at 34 weeks. with my first born I did it around 32 weeks. Just do it when you feel like it will be a good time and make sure you have enough time to get anything you still need and get everything organized the way you want.

yes I had a gender reveal party at 6 months and my shower is at 8 months. .I wouldn't suggest going til 8 months but 7 is a good time Def if u have to travel
