Anyone else test Strep B positive? My doctor told me I'm most likely a carrier of strep b which just makes me more prone to contract the strep virus (in any form) and then makes me high risk in that area with any other pregnancy. I'm beginning antibiotics tonight but still makes me nervous about delivery :(

It's not that big of a deal if you get antibiotics during labor. I tested positive in a urine sample around 15 weeks so I'm automatically getting antibiotics during labor.

They just give you antibiotics through your IV every 4 hours when you go into labor

@emileeann43, @simplybrit22 Thank you for your input, ladies!! My OB did say I'm automatically getting antibiotics via IV during labor & delivery, but I'm still such a worry wart 😭

It's okay girl. Baby will be okay as long as you get that first dose in so as soon as you start having labor I'd suggest going to the hospital, especially if your water breaks. That's what I was advised to do. :)

@emileeann43, Yes, most definitely! My OB never told me that, but I've been reading into it & right once I know (or think) I am in labor, I am heading right to the hospital! Thanks so much!! ❤️

I had it with my first, had to be on iv antibiotics during birth, wasn't a big deal
