And another question! So my child's father and I have been perusing buy buy baby and babies r us even though it's still quite early to be buying we've just been making mental notes of stuff we liked and prices. I've been itching to start my registry already but I know it's still a bit early. I read on I believe it may have been babycenter's website that some women start their registries during the 12th week and put in the big main things (I.e. Crib, breast pump, bottles, high chair, rocker/glider just to name a few) and then add and edit as time goes on and you find out what you're having and stuff. Since my registry cards are obviously going in with the shower invitations and I'd like to do my shower around 30 weeks, I don't want to be doing my registry last minute in week 25 and get overwhelmed and add a bunch of foolishness I don't need or be in the store for a long period of time trying to get it all done in one day and be ready to just sit in one of the display gliders and cry myself to sleep from being overwhelmed and tired and annoyed and everything else.

I have one daughter and one on the way and as soon as I found out what I was having I started to buy stuff and do a registry (16 weeks with the 1st kid, 20 weeks with this one.). I find it easier to buy stuff over a period of time because its less stress on me plus you don't spend so much money at once. Honestly if I could have found out what I was having when I first got pregnant I would have started my shopping than lol. I like to do things in advance.

I'm 21 weeks and doing mine now that I know it's a girl so I can pick out her room. But you can honestly do it whenever, if you're going neutral and everything. Just make sure to get the necessities!

@daniellediane, I planned on as soon as I get through my NT scan tomorrow and all goes well I want to start soon. I'll be 12 weeks on Saturday and part of me just wants to go start making it then, but I also don't want to jinx anything and look silly in the store with my little scan gun and I don't even have a legit bump (I know it's even sillier to think you can only start your registry once you have a bump, but that's just my nonsensical self-consciousness lol). I definitely agree with buying over time, I almost don't have a choice seeing as I'm still in college with a part time job (looking for a second one) and my child's father quit his old job and just got hired at another one and hasn't even officially started it yet, so I'm primarily providing with the help of my parents. Lol I'm the same way I'm a get things done in advance kind of person too, and I know it's going to be a problem when I find out what I'm having because I know I won't be able to leave any baby stores without something for it lol. I'm only 12 weeks and my registry is done, I do it online because I am very particular about things and wanted to make sure everything had good ratings. I added boy stuff and girl stuff on there, when I find out the gender I will delete one of the other. As far as the nursery stuff goes, I did neutral do it will be the same for boy or girl because I'm not really into pink for a girl and blue for a boy. I also plan to have my shower around 30 weeks, so I still have energy to sort through everything. I like to be prepared.

@feemarie802, thanks! I definitely plan on doing a mix of neutral stuff and some gender specific stuff once we know what the little nugget is. I'm for sure mainly concerned with my necessities, I really want to start with the crib and car seat and put those on first and since I know my old job (toys & babies r us) has layaway putting those on and just putting them on layaway if possible because I know they'll be the most expensive even though BRU has pretty good prices (in comparison to BBB) so I don't leave myself or anyone else in the poorhouse trying to buy those things flat out.
