@steph775, thank you hun...it's what the vet said but I was crying so hard I could barely hear them, I couldn't stop I cried all the way home and I'm still crying now it's so unfair because I wasn't expecting that, I thought they'd just tell me he's unwell and give me some medication and send us on on our way...I never thought in a million years that they'd be putting him to sleep today, my girls didn't even know he was sick and didn't get to say goodbye...they're going to be heartbroken when they get in from school...I'm trying to stay strong but I'm devastated and I know my hormones are making me feel even worse...thanks again though hun xx

@nadsx316 do sorry :( I lost my wee dog a few weeks ago and it's heartbreaking :( only thing that helps is time xx

@ttcaug15, Thank you hun, it's just heartbreaking having to remove all his bits and pieces and coming home without them, I don't think I can have another pet because losing them hurts too much xx

@lou, they think he's always had it and was born with it, he probably contracted the from his mum...she got out so her owners had no idea who the dad was just that she was pregnant. They said it's why he could never put on weight and has always been so skinny but he's just deteriorated out of nowhere, I did the best I could...just wish it was enough to have saved him xx

I lost two brother cats to this, first Barney then Freddie a year later. It comes on quickly and it's worse as there is nothing you can do to save them. I feel for you, and as hard as it is to hear, you did the right thing. it's hard but time will help. I'm here for you if you need to chat xx

@ginnyw132, I'm so sorry for your loss, I'm still in shock because like you said it came on so fast! he deteriorated so fast over the last few days there was no warning...thank you hun, just broke the news to my girls and they were devastated especially my eldest, she set me off again so we cuddled and cried it broke my heart when she told me he was her best friend 💔 I knew she loved him dearly and it's hard for them to understand because we just never knew he was ill! ...I appreciate your kindness xx
