just read on Facebook that a distant cousin (we grew up together) of mines daughter (I beleive she is 14) tried to take her own life last night.... all because the children (yes I purposely used that term) she goes to school with make fun of her for not having name brand clothes and other things, to the point she felt she didn't have a choice... she feels like she is just taking up space and isn't attractive... I'm sorry, I know bullying has been around forever but it doesn't make it any less ridiculous... who cares what the hell someone is wearing?? at least their clothes are clean right?? who cares if it doesn't have a certain label on it... my God all friday..... where are these kids parents?? why do these kids feel that bullying someone over something so damn petty is acceptable?? please mamas, teach your kids that not everyone is the same, this needs to stop and I feel that if they are taught bullying is wrong growing up they hopefully won't bully anyone at an older age... also hug your kids extra tight tonight, if you have older kids talk to them make sure everything is ok with them..... sorry to have this rant at 5 in the morning but I can't handle anymore stories like this on Facebook "little timmy was made fun of so he didn't think there was any reason to live" "Jane was made fun of because her clothes came from Walmart and not Hollister, she felt ugly and that no one wanted her, so she took her life".... it's getting ridiculous, it's 2016 for Christ's sake... again sorry for the rant mamas

This makes me so mad, and mostly because I got bullied for the same exactly thing all my life. No joke. Just because I didn't have certain clothes. It really did make me despise myself. Like I wasn't good enough to have any friends. People made fun of me because I was "poor" which I really wasn't. Kids can be so cruel. It's unbelievable

@emkasting, it makes me mad too... I am so sorry you went thru this... you are a beautiful woman... they definitely can be cruel... you mama are an amazing person (I don't know you personally obviously)... I just hope one day we can get the bullying to end completely

So sad. Brings back horrible memories of my childhood. Kids can be so cruel. I was teased for my weight, then my clothes, then my acne. Then in high school all three. I was where this girl was. I almost died, got committed for almost four months. This breaks my heart. I just want to hug her. 😢

I always used to be bullied growing g up because of my hair and clothes it hurt my feeling made me said I think it made me who I am today I'm quit and observed and don't try to make friends, but at the same time I was always the girl who didn't give hell what people thought while being bullied they never saw a tear from me,kids can be so damn evil I bet you one day they will be working for her,I hope she's doing OK maybe switch school? I had to because of bullying from students and a teacher

I am so sorry you all went thru this.... you are all right kids can be cruel... as far as I know she is physically doing ok... @mrsmoore unfortunately where we live there is 1 high school in town, there is a Catholic high school but it is really expensive or they would have to move to a neighboring town to attend the public high school.. unwise she could switch schools... I am saying an extra prayer for you all right now for having to go thru it... @mrsmoore I said that on her mom's post, one day those evil children could be working for her and then where will their bullying have gotten them? that would be karma in my book
