Had a lady go OFF on me today when I said I really was hoping to avoid a c-section. She went into this thing about how I thought I was too good for it and she had one because such and such... I just sat there with my jaw dropped. I have nothing but respect for anyone who has to have one. They are scary, and the recovery is awful! I am desperately trying to avoid one because I react HORRIBLY and unpredictably to anesthetic. Propophol (the most common, supposed to be the safest) gave me a massive seizure and I didn't wake up until hours and hours after I was supposed to. They thought they'd put me in a coma! I'm terrified to EVER be put under again, and the idea of being AWAKE while they cut me open? I shiver at the thought. Everyone has their own preferences and medical needs, so I hate it when people assume I look down on c-sec moms just because I desperately am trying to avoid one. :c

i am terrified of having to have one too..sorry she did that to you..people will always have an opinion but they dont have to be so rude!

lol that's really odd. but guess what the best part is. u dont have to explain to her or anyone why u dont want on. just keep in mind sometime things happen and our plans change

It was in the waiting room for my doctor, of all things. I've been having heart problems so I was nervous. She asked if I was okay, I told her yes, that I was worried they would have to take him early and I really didn't want a c-section. Right after I said it, she was got all defensive! She had seemed so nice and then got so mean. :c @miraclebaby2016

@dylansmommy123, like I said, I have nothing but respect for those who do go through that. Plans DO change. If I have to have one to save my baby I will, but if I can avoid it I'm going to. It puts my life at more risk to have one.

@dylansmommy123, It was pretty weird. And upsetting. I think its because small town people are just more defensive and nosey. Always hafta be right or something.
