RANT ABOUT MY FLAW AND INSECURITY !!I have this god awful scar smack dab in the middle of my chest one thing I can say is if I didn't have this terrible scar I would be more confident and out going all around but sense I have I I'm quite shy and always trying to do some awkward pose to hide my scar or walk around just acting like I'm rubbing my chest to hide it from people who are looking at me I used to wear scarfs but if your in the beauty industry you know they get in the way of doing hair all my shirts happen to be stupid v necks u necks that show it it darker then my skin tone so it stands out I hate it so damn much and this damn lady who's manicure I was doing had the damn nerve to ask what it was all loud in front of people it was embarrassing and I can see one of the students in my class out the corner of my eye staring at me after she said it like did she really say that I was so embarrassed I didn't know how to even explain what it was and that led me to keep my head down and awkwardly try to hide it till I was done she also asked before I could answer if I had heart surgery then when she saw my expression said she's asking because she wanted to know if I'm OK TF! I'm wearing a scarf tomorrow or my bfs shirt I just hate it it's called I hypertrophic keloid scar :-( but I guess asking is better then staring like I'm some digusting creature ..my bf says it not that bad but I know he says that to be nice and because he looks past it because he love me for me but I know it's bad wish there was some type of cure or something tonight my dad is getting me some new scar cream maybe it will work this time but I won't give my hopes up and get all excited,it suckered because the scar can be really itchy and have shooting pains run through it like round ligament type of feeling and from the shots I used to get in it has cause me to TMI!! be able to have puss come out where the injection went is which you can't even see it was so small idk that's why I'm so hard on my self time for new scarfs

mama I'm so sorry that happened to you, some people have no manners, yes she could have just stared but didn't however she could have been a little more discreet about it I mean really most people who come and get a manicure are grown or grown enough to know how to be discreet... I know I wouldn't say something loudly, I would lean over and maybe say (again quietly) "I noticed you have a scar, I hope it wasn't anything super serious, and I will say an extra prayer for you that whatever it is, it gets better" would definitely NOT be super loud, just enough for you to hear me.... no need to draw attention to you or the person asking about it....

I have scars all down my legs and arms from self harm but you just have to overlook them. you can't change it so minus well love it

@sarahdrew, I would of loved if she did it the way you just described,the scar was at first caused by a chicken pox that I scratched off when I was littlte and in middle school 8th grade I was dumb enough to talk my dad who's a doctor into letting me get plastic surgery and the doc we got was crap not experienced like he said so it ended up getting larger it's now about 2 or three inches long am inch in width hate it,yes I mean take a look and look away if you must stare while I'm not looking ,when I see people with something I take a look if they see me I smile I don't stare or ask anything

I have scars on my face and one big under my chin, only advice I can give you, you have to accept yourself the way you are, before expecting other to accept you, ppl will always stare (I'm living with them 16y), and they not always wanted to be rude, sometimes they are just curious (sometimes I'm starting at someone trying to figure out they story behind scars). if you embrace your scar, and start feeling beautiful and special bc having the scar, ppl will also looking at you differently and even if some will not, who cares! I know it's not easy journey, but you can do it!
when I was teen, I was refusing to wear makeup to cover my scars, I was "if you don't like what you see, don't look", it's take me time to understand that is not important what other think or if they look, and to be honest I was always angry bc I was not accepting the fact that I have scars, when I accept myself I don't even notice if ppl are starting, and when I do I just simply explain them why I have them, I'm not anymore angry or embrace about it.

@mybabyboytimmy020516, I try sometimes I forget it's there till people stare at me then I remember @sarahdrew worst part is when I go to greet somebody like a client or stanger they say hi basically to my scar before looking to say hi to my face ugh
