@shananaginsx, I say rock and play bassinet is bigger and not as mobile and you can rock it with your foot lol if your laying down (know from experience)!

My son won't sleep flat so the rock and play has been a life saver !

a crib is the best cause it will last the longest

@shananaginsx, newborns are NOT suppose to sleep in cribs until they are a few months old. I have a rock and play and I've only heard amazing things about them. mine folds up and is easy to move and very light.

the rock and play is taller than a bouncy seat so it's easier to see the baby and stuff from bed and i like the fact that I can rock it

Yeah he has a crib, just wasn't planing on using it yet and then wasn't sure if bassinet is good or not cause they can only use so long... Or diff with bouncer or rck n play Hmmmm. Thanks ladies! @hlanc4 @charleerose @josy @marijay @mrs.fati

@shananaginsx, if you don't want to spend the full amount. Facebook has those yard sale pages that's where I got mine. since they don't use it for long I didn't want to spend that money so I went on those pages searching for one

i got a pack and play with a bassinet in it @shananaginsx

I went with a play pin, bassinet, changing table combo. I can use the bassinet till she is 15lbs and by then we will be looking for a toddler bed cause it won't be long and she'll be crawling out of a crib. My daughter crawled out of her crib one time and fell head first (the reason we are skipping a crib this time)

Personally, we have a small apartment, so we're only getting a crib, swing, bouncer, and bassinet for baby. Swing and bouncer for entertainment/soothing. Crib for when she's older and on more of a feeding schedule. Bassinet for when I'm nursing and she's a newborn. Plus it has wheels so I can bring it to any room in the house for her to sleep in and it's smaller than a pack n play. We have an old blue pack n play from my son for traveling (if it ever arises) but I don't see much practical use for it at home. ☺️ but it's definitely something you have to match to your needs, I think. (:

I have a pack n play and rock n play. The particular rock n play i have has really good reviews from other mothers that use them for their baby's sleep, it has a slight incline so it reduces the risk of SIDS, mesh sides that the baby can look out of, a cute mobile and star light display that projects onto the ceiling. And of course it rocks. But I'm figuring I'll decide which one to use when baby gets home so I can see which one he seems to like better :)

Oh and like other posters said I really like how the rock n play folds up, it's compact and light so it's easy to move around when need be. It's also a perfect height to have next to your bed or sofa

My son wouldn't sleep in anything put the rock and play! We loved it plus is a little upright which made me feel better since he had reflux.

Yeah we have everything, my pack and play doesn't have the bassinet attachment. We are just stuck deciding what to do, it really isn't the money, it's just what's best. We have swing, bouncer, crib, pack n play and now just between bassinet and rock n play... Hmmm.
