has anyone hired a housekeeper?

due to me being on bed rest my house is beyond horrible I never able to clean and it just gets worse so we are getting a housekeeper but idk how to do that exactly do we help? do we leave the house? what exactly do we do

it's whatever you're comfortable with 😊 they'll set up a date & time to come that works for you. personally I wouldn't want someone in my home without me being there until I got to trust them a bit though

well the person doing it grew up with my so she was in special ed with his sister and knows her well

@mommyof2016, my parents always had one when I was growing up and my SO and I have someone come once every other week. Me and our son are usually in the house. I'm not one that likes other people doing my laundry so that's the only thing I completely do myself. I also try not to have them downright pick up after us. I put dirty dishes in the sink (they will load and empty the dishwasher) and try to pick up stuff in the living room.

When I cleaned my brothers bosses house I liked when they were there but stayed out of the room I was working on... It felt weird being alone in another persons house...
