Right like $1100 for 1 month?! I'm like dude I don't make $1100 in a month! And then baby sitters want $15-20 an hour?! I'm like umm I make $15.50 at my PRN and $11 at my part time... I'd be giving them IOUs lol

Wow...I do daycare, I charge $150-200 a week depending on age. And I feel like that's a lot!

If you really do the math 1100 isn't too unreasonable. Granted I can't afford it but it's not unreasonable. It breaks down to 36$ a day and 5$ an hour for 8 hours. So really they aren't asking for that much. They are also giving your child social skills and preparing them for school and such.

A lot of states have assistance for childcare it would be something to look into and it's based on income.

Yea I'll have to @carterclaytonb and @twinscomingsoon it isn't but when I make less than that it's a lot. I have my husbands income too but we have two cars we are stuck with (we looked into getting rid of one) and rent in Colorado Springs is so high.. On average it's $1200-$1700 for a 2 bed room apartment. 😱

@brittanycheri yeah that's just crazy lol I use to baby sit and for an infant I asked max 8$ that's the point of using a baby sitter and not a day care it's not suppose to cost that much in sorry girl

Daycare costs are outrageous no matter how much money you make especially with more than one kid. It's more than a house payment. Fortunately my husbands in the military and they have programs to help just like most department of health and social services. You could end up paying half of what it costs or less.

Yea my husband just got out of the Army in February. We still have tri care until July which is nice but that doesn't help with after lol

Yea, in my state we make too much- we would need to be a family of 7 in our income to get assistance. I feel like it's much harder to get assistance than we expected.
