I was wondering the same thing. I'm moving and have to find a new doctor and was considering a midwife instead. @boenischpartyof5 @lildarebear @mom021915 I think I'm going to try a midwife this time

The midwife will act as your advocate for labor and anything else you want, doctors typically won't be forth front with that. BUT an OB has a medical degree, a midwife does not. Any medical concerns will be through your doctor as she cannot make that call. She also cannot speak on behalf of you either

I only had a few visits but i personally like Mid wife better. Shes so much more fun and understanding. She makes me feel like a priority, where as the doctor made me feel like i was being lectured for everything. Im young and a first time mom. Thats explanatory for most doctors and how they treat me but still new and still wanting to learn not feel like im a horrible person. Mid wife for the win.
