I think around 9-11 months is when most babies start using or learning how to use a sippy cup and after they're 1 year or so they usually have the hang of it. After 1 year and a half it might be a good idea to help them drink out of regular cups.
@raegenice, agreed I usually pull my kids off around that time. It can delay speech. Plus I hate seeing 1 year olds on bottles and older. So I start with the soft tip sippy cups.
definitely by a year. on my daughter's first birthday she went from a bottle to a sippy cup (she had already been practicing ) with no issues. @raegenice
@sexxymama83, @aimers8031 yeah I heard it's so much harder to get them to stop being dependent on their bottle and even their pacifier after 1 year if you let it go that long. I really don't want my son walking around at 1 and a half asking for a bottle.
