Lol my moms Jewish but I don't know Hebrew lol I guess you are what your mom is but then on the catholic side it's the opposite you are whatever your dad is he's Irish Catholic my husband is also Catholic. I don't go by anything I just try and embrace both sides and with my kids I'll let them decide what they want as well. But learning another language is awesome (I only know the Hebrew alphabet) lol
