anyone else's mother or father still not come to terms that you're pregnant? When I first told my mom at 16 weeks we kept it from my dad for a long time. Even though I'm 23 and been with my boyfriend for 4.5 years, I knew he would flip. And he did. He didn't talk to me for a couple months but now that we are back on speaking terms not once has he mentioned my pregnancy, asked how I am, how the baby is, nothing at all. Considering I'm 32 weeks it's a little hurtful. Anyone else dealing with anything like this?

Kind of except it's his mom that's been salty since end of September when we first told her. Haven't even seen or talked to her since. It is hurtful and I have decided she's not welcome at the hospital. I have plenty of other family that is excited for us and has been there every step of the way so I don't feel like she deserves to be there or see him. Oh well, her loss even if it does suck. Just remember baby has other people that love them tons and are thrilled. Don't let one person rain on your happy time because they can't come to terms with it.

Yeah it sucks cause my boyfriend's WHOLE family, like his mom and dads side of the family (they're divorced) are not allowed in my child's life. His mother told me to give the baby up for adoption and not tell my boyfriend until the day the baby is born. 😡 and his dad is just a huge prescription pill addict. Lots of stuff has happened and we are no longer talking to either of them. So without my dad it's just my mom as my older sister lives out of state. I mean I think my dad will be excited once the baby is finally here but it's really annoying that he just acts like I'm not pregnant at all. Asking me to mow the yard, pick up sticks and things like that since right now we are staying with he and my mom. That's something I can't stand since I'm very VERY clearly expecting lol!

That's an awful thing to say to you. 😕 I know easier said than done but just take it easy and don't get too stressed out. My boyfriend is upset about his mom to but came to eventually get over it. I keep telling him not to worry about her because we are making our own family and don't need her or anyone elses negativity. Maybe explain to him that you can't necessarily do all those those while being so far along and maybe compromise to easier tasks? I know if I lived back at home my grandpa would expect me to do some things, so I can sort or relate to what you mean. Just focus on giving baby everything they need. I also tell my boyfriend that since he was treated like crap now and as a child hopefully he can learn and not make those mistakes with his son. He vows to be a better parent than they are to him. he says if his mom shows up at the hospital he will have her escorted out, which I will too. She needs to do some serious apologizing before seeing my baby that's for sure. As far as I'm concerned he only has 1 grandma as sad as it is to say. But like you said he will probably come around to it after baby is born. Maybe it's hard for him to see his baby having a baby? It's so different and life changing he probably only wants what's best (not that the baby isn't a good thing) maybe he's just nervous? Men sometimes have weird ways of showing that kind of thing. Just keep your chin up and know it's all for the baby growing inside of you! :)

Cause his parents pissed me off in the beginning too by saying I was pregnancy trapping him. Like wtf. We've been together almost 4 years and have our own place for almost all of those 4 years.

Wow that's terrible, I've also been with my boyfriend for over 4 years. But I can totally relate to what you're saying about his parents treating him like crap and such. I told my boyfriend the same thing, about how we are creating our own family and to try his best to put them out of his mind because they've always been so terrible to him. When he was a little child, about 8 years old, when his parents were getting divorced his mother had the audacity to ask him which parent he loved more and to say he loved her more in court. In my opinion and a lot of other people's you NEVER involve a child in an adult situation. Ever. That was basically his whole childhood and it breaks my heart. But it brings me comfort knowing our child is going to have a wonderful childhood because we were basically taught not what not to do by the way both our families treated us. I know that now that his mom knows we are keeping the baby (I sent her a lengthy email expressing my disgust with her and her comments) I know that once he is born she is gonna come crawling back trying to be in our lives and that's not happening! @jacesterlingsmommy
