I didn't have the strength to give my baby a bath . I even had to wait for the next day to take myself a shower . I couldn't walk . my legs were still numb from the epidural . but I don't know where u would take the baby a bath unless you don't bathe your baby for two or 3 days lol but if you can do it go for it

They do it so fast. I balled the whole time.... it was tough. I am trying to decide the same this time. If I am able, I think I'll probably do it.

my husband did our daughter's 1st. the nurse washed her hair because he was too scared.

And in all honesty you'll probably be too tired and wore out to do it.

I didn't have a choice. I was cut and ripped so I was being sewn up for an hour while they took her and did all that.

It's was offered to us either way with my first. And they assisted my husband. I have given plenty of baby baths as a nurse and my husband was a little uneasy and nervous he would do something wrong. The nurse walked him through it and assisted when he had questions. I had an emergency section so was in bed watching

You're probably gonna be tired or uneasy about it. I was nervous at first because they are so tiny. So I let the nurse do it & she bathe her right Infront of me & she was really gentle It probably just depends on the person too.

I was offered to do it myself or let the nurse, but I was so weak I could barely hold him in bed. My body was just so drained my husband had to help me hold him because I was so weak, so I let the nurse do it & just watched her.
