depends on the reasons, the company, and your state's laws. here in indiana you can be let go from a job for pretty much no reason and its perfectly legal because we're an at-will state.
Depends on what you're missing for & if you're high risk, have a note from your doctor, etc. it's likely that a workplace won't put up with someone calling in if they are feeling nauseous or tired all of the time, but I've known people who physically cannot do anything because they spend the entire day throwing up
they cannot fire you if you are missing work because of appointments, but if you are missing work because you are tired or just don't feel good, they can. they need someone there. I showed up to work every day during my first and threw up constantly while there. when I finally went to turn in my two week notice, they denied it and that was my last day. I was at work every day. never called in but because I couldn't do my job uninterrupted they didn't let me work my last two weeks. Most of management was furious and fought it for me but I did not want anything to do with them after that.
if you have a dr note (mine would simply say I was under their care for said day missed) then no they cant..... they aren't supposed to fire a pregnant woman as it can be considered discrimination
I work for a call center and my account is set to go permenant in mid April... but my baby is due in a couple weeks so they set up my termination for this Wednesday. It isn't because I'm pregnant, it is because it is a temporary account and as long as it is temp you lose your job of you have to miss too many back to back days no matter the reason.
Like @pixiestix said it depends on a lot of things. Like if you have sick hours you can use or not, if you have a doctor's note or not, things like that. I'm in Indiana so it might be different elsewhere but here they can fire you for literally no reason if they want to and you can't fight it 😒

If you have a dr note than technically no, but it all depends on the type of management you have and if they like you @mommy_to_be1993
