So I was told yesterday I was a finger tip dilated, what does that exactly mean.. She didn't explain…

1cm I believe. it's progress though!!

That's what we thought. She never told me. She thought I was 1cm last time and actually I wasn't. I was completely closed on Monday too. So it definitely is progress.

about 1 cm. Not every doctors fingers are the same size so they say that because it's not exactly 1 cm. I had my doctor say barely a cm and then when I went in a few hours later after appointment to L&D because of contractions the nurse said I was 2 cm and when my doctor came in again he said again barely 1 cm

My doctor has bigger fingers so maybe it's around a cm.. They're trying to induce me next week if I don't go into labor on my own. But they said they can't induce me until I'm a certain amount dilated so they can break my water, which they didn't tell me how much it needed to be. @emily18234 @karnamarie

@cass_lynne Why are they wanting to induce you? I'm not sure about the dilating part I know I was 4 cm when they broke my water because my labor had stopped progressing but that was after being in the hospital all night with strong contractions 3-4 minutes apart

yeah inducing sometimes won't work if you haven't naturally progressed to a certain point

Yeah they're going to check me again on Monday. I'm hoping he just comes on his own this weekend or beginning of next week. I was effaced on Monday. My OB doesn't check that so I won't know if I've thinned anymore... @emily18234
