it is very hard to take baby from mom. unless he has proof you are abusive neglectful or doing drugs then you will have custody however he has a chance of being granted weekends and usually one day during week. if you save all messages as well even if its just him talking mess to you. you can build a case.

is he helping get anything for the baby or have you bought everything so far. make sure you save your reciets in proof you have bought all you need to care for a child.

Especially if you guys aren't together / married, don't put him on the birth certificate, and if he says it's not his then that alone right there will tell court your baby doesn't need to be with him and they'll question his motives for it all. Don't worry or stress about it, you have a beautiful one on the way and that's all you gotta worry about

now in cali i just looked up laws and it states if he has any other kids or has ever been to court they will pull those records because it shows a pattern.

If you're breast feeding i don't think they can make you give your baby up over night. Because you're her only source of food. They let me brother have his daughter over night away from mom because she was formula fed.

I went through the same thing.. don't let him scare you and everyone has a point.. keep records and breastfeed! even if he throws a low blow and tries to get CPS involved to take the baby away (which is what my babydaddy did when he found out my boyfriend and I had a baby) if your breastfeeding they wont take the baby they'll just monitor you and her health.. its not that easy for him to get the baby unless youre on drugs and a test comes out positive..

@cass117, only if they've been there and provided for them and have a stable job. housing... I'm in Lake Elsinore.. the whole case went through the riverside court system.. I got my kids and he lost all rights.. they give preference to the mom specially if you have your family's support

@cass117, they say everyone has equal rights truth is thats not how it works. im telling you most he can do ia get visitation and they pull up old records you stated he didnt fight to be in his other kids life and the moment you tell them he is not active it that situation and you breast feeding it just gives you the upper hand i assure you.. if your having this much trouble with him now when the time comes youll have all the evidence you need to safe you dont feel comfortable with hin around the baby you're scared he wont give the baby back. courts will work in your favor
