Maybe it's just me but I feel like woman should educate when they become pregnant about pregnancy birthing and newborns a lot of really good books on it and doctors write them I just see a lot of uneducated things and it's like we live in the age of information a lot of these questions could be answered if we just educate the resources are available

To be fair there is a TON to learn about babies and pregnancy. Some of it seems so obvious but not until you point it out. TV and movies don't help much either. :\

I read up on books. Especially the one "What To Expect When Expecting" with my first child. After that its a piece of cake. And now with #3 it seems even easier lol. But I do agree that especially anything that pertains to you. You should research and take the time out to learn about what's going on.

@lashellg, yes! I learn everything every time I have a symptom I look it up in the glossary of an medical book and read up Iv learned so much about the female body and babies and hormones and what causes what how to handle and it's amazing! Iv always been a bit of a nerd and love being healthy and know myself to my best ability!

@candy63186, I'm like you as well healthcare has always interested me so I took on that field. But I think the real problem is that we as humans learn differently some can read and comprehend as you but others even though they may read it still need that affirmative voice from others. Some people just prefer personal experiences of others than knowing that we all are different no matter how similar we may seem. I educate those that have had diseases for years and they know no more about it than they did the day they got it. Then I can get some one newly diagnosed and they seem like they have had it forever because they research so much and have read up on it. I just think it's different learning and oh yeah laziness to lol!
