How do I tell my boyfriends grandma that I don't want to bring my baby to their big family dinner? A lot of them haven't met her yet & it's not that I don't want them to meet her, but i get really anxious when we're around a huge group of people. I hate seeing my baby being passed around like some kind of toy... I asked my bf to tell her bc I don't feel comfortable telling her bc they are really judgey & i know that i will be talked badly about at the stupid fucking dinner if we don't go..... I keep thinking about this way too much

oh OK ,o would just tell her I'm not comfortable with her being young around a big group of people so you will sit out this time but hope they enjoy their time ,that's as nice as I could say it

They're going to talk regardless....I dealt with this first hand this past weekend....everyone has an opinion on what you should be doing for your child. my husband's family thought I should bring my 2 month old to the alligator farm (a reptile zoo)...I stayed home with her and napped while he went with his family

I'm the same way, I just told my grandma I'm not coming over tonight because there are to many people (st patty day dinner) and I get super anxious with the baby and my 4 year old who's autistic and wanders ( they have a pool In their back yard) It's just to much and I end up leaving super stressed out. So imo they shouldn't make fun of you for having social anxiety. It's a real disorder that affects a lot of people. It bothers me that I struggle with it and I would feel awful if people made me feel like shit about it .... I'm sorry girl that's real shittty of them to be like that with you.
