@amber188, we bought the owlet monitor. We haven't been able to use it yet but we have the same fear. I'm a respiratory therapist and my husbands a paramedic/fireman so we have seen it first hand and worry about it. We know it won't stop SIDS but at least if we can do cpr until help gets here... We have a better chance.

@claire525, yes so many. they also have pads that monitor movement but I didn't want to rely on a pad. I want something actually touching my baby! and there's a lot of reviews from women that this monitor actually did alert them and saved their baby's life. !

@sparnell, I had my heart set on the owlet for the past two months but I'm on their Facebook and like every comment people were saying it didn't work or it gave off false alarms 😕 so I started shopping around again. but it looks so awesome! I thought the sock was really cool! and exactly. if nothing else at least I was alerted when something actually did happen even if it didn't help I know how u feel !

I would wait on the immunizations till the baby is at least a year, they have been liked to sids.

@amber188 haven't seen that one. I never feared sids with my daughter but with this one I'm terrified. My friend's 5 month old daughter died of sids last year.

at first they only had three colors, whiteish tan, light blue and light green, but Ross started getting more in different colors and designs

sids existed way before immunizations.. just saying.

my friend didn't give her daughter her shots out of fear just like a lot of people and hers still died of sids.

They are linking sids to neurological issues. I don't think they ever will know what causes sids. @amber188 I read they give false alarms but I would rather have a false alarm then no alarm at all. Plus knowing their oxygen level is a big thing for me because low oxygen causes anoxic brain injuries. Any monitor is better than no monitor!
