Seriously thinking about switching obgyns, has anyone ever switched? please give me your opinion if I should switch or not.
I've been seeing my ob as my gyn for 5 years, as a gyn I loved her, she really knew what was going on with my endometriosis, helped me fine the best way to deal with it, has always been nice, and even telling me I probably wouldn't be able to have kids she was still positive about trying different things to ensure I'd have a healthy pregnancy if the day was to come. Since becoming pregnant I feel like I've had a change in heart or something, she doesn't seem as supportive or as if she even really cares about my pregnancy as an individual. I was told I'd be high risk if I ever concieved, I brought this up to her and she was kinda rude "your only risk was not being able to become pregnant" I'm not a doctor but I've read alot that people with endometriosis are at higher risk for preterm birth, I shared that it kinda scared me and she again blew it off like I have no reason to even question her. I had a sonogram at the hospital at 6 weeks 1 day because I was having cramps and really scared, I'd miscarry or have a tubal, while at the hospital the lady who did my sono was training and it really bothered me that I left with TWO heart rates, but she wouldn't look better to see if there was two sacs or embryos, told my ob, she blew it off and didn't care, she said my insurance won't cover a sono until 18 weeks, which is a damn lie because she would obviously have to check that the pregnancy was in my uterus, had I not went to the hospital, she has never done her own sono, which makes me feel like she is clueless in this pregnancy, she only did blood work once and hasn't even checked that my levels were rising or anything, she doesn't take time to explain anything or tell me how my baby is developing or anything she literally came in did an exam the first time, and the second time she just checked my pee and looked for a heart beat then sent me on my way.

I switched at 16 weeks. I had no idea I actually could until I contacted another place that I found online by email. So far it has been the best decision I made this pregnancy and I'm now 30 weeks

Most of my obgyn appointments is the doctor asking if I've been okay and hear the heartbeat and then I'm done for the app.

that's basically what your prenatal appointments are gunna be like, they just ask you a few questions, check for HB and fundal height. it's not as thorough as you think lol I know I'm a FTM as well I thought the same thing but now I'm 40 weeks, and those last few weeks you'll start to see your obgn weekly and the only thing that will change Is that now they'll check for dialation and effacement

If it honestly makes you feel hurt, and emotional, Id ask for someone else. My ob right now is very sensistive to how I feel, always makes me laugh, and lets me know whats going on, she makes sure I can understand reading the screen as well when she does the ultrasound.

that is pretty shitty. I'd probably switch but then again she also knows your history so well. But you should like your OB and feel comfortable. if mine blew me off I'd be pretty pissed !

I just changed practitioners today!! I wanted a doctor that I was going to see every visit instead of having a new one each time at the other office I was going to. I also didn't feel comfortable or cared for at all. They were very rude and short with me and never told me anything! I have RH- blood and they did blood test on me twice and never once said anything about it. The new doctor I'm going to be seeing is the same doctor that delivered my 3 younger siblings.

I also just switched to a new obgyn today and I'm 17 weeks! I'm already happier and more excited. I switched because I felt my questions were not answered and I never got to see my doctor, only the np. Today my new doctor was very comforting and informative. You should go for it!
