yes my 2 1/2 month old watches cartoons in the morning while mom franticly runs around for ten min trying to get her life in order.... yes I know it's bad for their development but what is a ten min session in the morning going to hurt.It's the only TV she gets and when on tummy time she holds her head up the whole time so she is working out her neck and shoulder muscles at the same time and her eyes are getting exercise too.... just an example how every parenting choice is the moms choice and no matter what choice mom makes it may not be what another makes so judge all you want at least I have ten min to get as much done as possible without her screaming at me and making the tasks at hand impossible!

actually it's not bad I let my baby watch cartoon like Mickey mouse and such it actually develops their brain nd she learns more and recognizes the characters and songs. she's only 8 months now but when she hears the hot dog song she laughs and smiles

see its not as bad as everyone says it is. I just keep getting told it's bad but they love the kid shows and they even make somebody shows so I don't see what it hurts. And you are right they do learn from them as crazy as that is.@vane359,

It's bad if you do it a lot and he's not learning things like fine motor skills, social skills, etc. :) It's all good.

@mhaley1223, it's bad if they watch hours and hours. but even my baby's Dr would ask dies she watch tv nd I would be like yes nd they never told me anything. she started when she was like 3-4 months watching it. so I think it's an OK thing to dom everyone's says oh this is bad or that is bad but it's your child at the end of the day so you do what's best for your baby

That "it's bad for their development shit" is just that. Bullshit. My son has learned so much from tv. I don't let him nor does he want to sit around and watch tv all day. But when he does he asks questions and it helps their memory skills. Even my son's pediatrician agrees that it is good if not used as a babysitting tool. You're doing great :)
