@aminasmommy2016, I had masistis w moth my previous pregnancies. Expressing in a hot shower worked but nothing like the relief from the pump. Go to ur docs and let them know, they can push the issue w ur insurance if needed. Some offer lenders as well-meaning mommy's might not want to use them being gently used already. Good luck, I know how painfull it can be. If u have to, buy a cheap pump for the time being so they don't become like rocks.

@aminasmommy2016, 1 more thing- try calling labor and delivery at ur hospital & ask for either the charge nurse of the lactation consultant. Push the issue nicely if u can- painful, masitits, scared u will have to quit breastfeeding after this etc-sympathy. Some nurses will be able to help u asap or refer u to someone who may be willing 2 help get it quicker. At our hospital, the lactation consultant will have 1 available that day by the hour if ur insurance covers it. Good luck!

go to WIC!! I live in Elsinore and I called in today and they said to just come in to the office and pick up a hand held pump.. they also have electric hospital grade pump you can borrow from them

All the pieces/bottles you use with the pump they loan out are new

WIC will give you a loaner pump no questions asked.

I know my WIC office only provides pumps to full time, working mothers that are breastfeeding, but definitely worth a shot! I waiting on my pump and just went and bought a hand pump from Walmart for 25$ and it worked well, I still use it today even though I got my electric one now, it's perfect for when I'm not home or in the car if I need some relief! Good luck mama! Don't give up!
