Maybe it's not like this everywhere but in this small hick town it seems like having a child just deminishes your worth as a person. No one ever asks how YOU are it's always how is the baby or how's Emmalynn (my 18 month old)? Which is fine but I'd like to feel like I matter too. Plus I just love when people ask my husband and I to go places just because they want to show off my 18 month old and the fact I'm pregnant. like excuse me? when did I or my child become some kind of trophy? If you can't acknowledge the fact that my husband or I still exist... like don't even freakin talk to me. We matter too. 😑
