it's a blood test they do to see if you have gastrointestinal diabetes. they have you drink this sugary drink you have 5 mins to drink and you sit for a hr they draw your blood and send the results to your dr.
at 27to 30 weeks ,you fast from 12 am to when ever appointment is then go to where ever your test is weather doctor or hospital you drink a baby size water bottle of stuff that tests like flat sprite (just kick it back it won't kill you) after its gone you start an hour after that they take blood in a few days you will know if you passed or failed so don't eat or you can fail if you failed you do the same thing but wait three hours instead of one.

I did mine at 26 weeks, but I've heard anywhere from 23-29 weeks.

23-29 weeks I did mine at like 30 weeks just because my ob forgot to give me the paperwork for it and I didn't ask about it
