she is just excited to be a grandmother and your her daughter I see it as she is joy to be involve in your journey, my mom is the same way and I love how attentive she is with her future grand baby asking me how he is, i feel as my baby is not here and he is so love already, makes me happy to know I have such support from a mother

@icg8053, See, the thing about my mom is basically my entire pregnancy I haven't been able to go to her when I need to. She surprised me on her cross country trip and visited and spent a bunch of money of the baby's stuff, but she's honestly caught up in law school and her own life. She doesn't pick up the phone when I call because her and my dad are "too busy". She will randomly send me stuff over the Internet to look at for my son after days of not talking to me. She isn't intentionally not being involved but she's so caught up in her own life that she is making it that way. I was having a lot of pressure and it got a little scary for a minute because I was suspecting pre term labor (thank God it wasnt) and I took myself to L&D by myself to get checked. My mother in law kept checking on me but I decided to not even tell my mom. what's the point? She won't get back to me until it's convient for her.

idk.. my MIL acts as though she's having another kid, not a grandkid and it's annoying! she even goes as far to say oh well I'll just do it my way when I have her. she wants to be the full time nanny plus have my daughter several nights a week. I don't think you're in the wrong for being annoyed by it lol

my mil does it all the time. drives me nuts. and now that they bought a house she is wanting to put a nursery in the spare room right by them for "when we come stay" it irritates me to no end.

@babyt16, @mommapint It would be one thing if it were my MIL, but my own mom who's never around? I mean, don't get me wrong, she's s hardworking awesome woman. I'm her only kid and she doesn't have time for me, so I don't anticipate her being around a whole lot with my son.

it doesn't bother me when my MIL does it. I'm glad she cares about this baby at all. as long as they aren't being overbearing and grabby all the time it doesn't bother me lol lots of women say it does though
