did anyone else's doctor check to see if you were dilated at 36 weeks but didn't check at all at 37?

my Dr gave me the choice after the first time....

yes, and she said because checking too often ups the risk for infection, so she only checked at 35 weeks and then at 39 weeks. the doctor with my first baby never checked at all since it doesn't really mean a whole lot.

Mine does once a week. I hate it it is so uncomfortable!

I was just hoping to find out if I was making progress but she told me they would induce me a week after my due date if I didn't go into labor by then so I guess it makes sense @emily18234
